Join us at our Neenah Taproom for the first installment of our guest speaker series on Thursday, May 15th starting at 6pm! This is a free event, and seating is available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

We’re hosting Margaret Stadig, a senior fisheries biologist with the DNR, who specializes in managing our area’s Lake Sturgeon population. Margaret will share with us a presentation focusing on all things Lake Sturgeon in the Winnebago system. She’ll cover the process and pitfalls of managing a dinosaur in a large body of water, which will touch on some of the basics but also why this population is special and some of the cool things we can do here to continue to monitor and manage the species. As an expert in her field, she can get more in-depth on specific topics and answer any questions that the audience has.

Everyone who is interested in learning more about the world around us is welcome to attend, and this presentation can be especially beneficial for sturgeon spearers! No better way to improve your chance for harvesting one than to learn everything there is to know about them from an expert.
